The main principles of seminar organization at SoftLine

Target Audience

SoftLine organize seminars for IT professionals. Depending on the topic of each seminar specialist of various professions are invited for the event including:

  • IT directors and managers, system engineers, project managers;
  • Technical directors, software developers, programmers, IT consultants;
  • Representatives of corporate users of dedicated software incl. graphic or scientific software, office applications etc.

Invitation Process

SoftLine jointly with a vendor provide invitation of attendees. Press also can present on some seminars. The invitation procedure includes the following stages:

  1. Collecting database, the options for that are:
    • database provided by the vendor (leads)
    • a sampling from SoftLine database
  1. Distribution of invitations via email
  2. Information on seminars through SoftLine web-site and vendor’s web-site as well as through the most recognizable web-portals, incl. Cnews, OSP etc.
  3. On-line registration on SoftLine web-site. All necessary information on seminars is available on www.softline.ru/seminars.
  4. Advertisements with the information on seminars in periodical press, incl. ComputerWorld, PCWeek etc.
  5. Invitation by phone
  6. Directly before the seminar telemarketing managers make additional calls to the registered to confirm their participation in the seminar.

Database Sampling

For database sampling the following criteria are applied:

  • Industries a company belongs to
  • Attendee’s position in the company
  • Number of PCs in an organization (10-50, 50-500, over 500)
  • Number of servers (0, 1-5, 5-10, over 10)
  • Software categories which are of interest to professionals, incl. OS, network software, DBMS/SQL, antivirus software, office applications, developer tools, CAD/CAM systems, scientific software etc.
  • Service categories which are of interested (education and training, consultations and implementation, technical support, software licensing etc.)
  • Participation in decision making process on modernizing IT infrastructure (make decision, take part in decision making, prepare specification)
